About Me
My Dad got me into golf when I was 8 years old, he played recreationally and wished he had started younger. After years of lessons, lots n' lots of practice, and playing local and national junior golf, I earned a scholarship to play at UCLA. After graduating I played on satellite tours like the Asian, Futures, Sunshine, and Players West tours. After a few years of that I qualified for the prestigious LPGA Tour. Essentially my life was golf. Now I pass on all the knowledge and experience I accumulated to my students. I want to see them reach their potential and try to help them get there with the insights and understanding of the golf swing that I needed to compete on Tour. There are certain fundamentals and mechanics that one needs to know in building a game, and I am there with my students guiding them through the difficulties of learning this demanding sport.
After retiring from playing, and starting to instruct golf, I then also became an accredited personal fitness trainer with AFAA. I trained at 24 Hour Fitness for a couple years before going on my own. Golf taught me how important balance, reflexes, and our internal stabilizers are. I dealt with many injuries during my career in golf, from left ankle, to right hand/wrist, lower back, and hips. I spent considerable time in the rehabilitation center at the UCLA Athletic Department. It has been exciting for me the past 20 years to study the body, its movement patterns, the musculature, and about injury. It is an endless field to continue learning, and I enjoy adopting new routines and focused exercises all the time.
